The National Trust's visitor centre at the edge of the sea in Robin Hood's Bay village. Try hands on models and browse Show more… fascinating, colourful displays. Find out what makes this part of the North Yorkshire Coast so special, from its distinctive geology and the impact of the elements, to local wildlife and the secret history of smuggling.
Gaze into the rockpool tank to spot shore crabs, hermit crabs, blennies, winkles, sea anemones, prawns and other creatures - all discovered in the rockpools just outside the centre.
Visitors can learn about what work the National Trust's Rangers are carrying out on our countryside sites or find out more about other places to visit locally. Regular events are held throughout the year, including art exhibitions, treasure trails and rockpool safaris.
The Old Coastguard Station's shop has a range of gifts, books and National Trust products. National Trust membership can also be purchased, with proceeds contributing to the upkeep of the Old Coastguard Station and the beautiful coastline surrounding it.Show less…
