Worcestershire County Museum

Worcestershire County Museum is housed in historic Hartlebury Castle, home to the Bishops of Worcester for 1000 years. Show more… The museum collection ranges from toys and domestic items to beautiful costume and ancient archaeological finds. There are also room sets to explore such as the Victorian schoolroom as well as a Transport Gallery showing a wide range of vehicles including a fire engine, a hearse and a fascinating collection of gypsy caravans. Visitors can also see some of the Bishops State Rooms, usually the Great Hall and the Saloon. The site also includes a new café area in the historic Castle Kitchen and two picnic areas in Old Moat Coppice and the Orchard. There is also an annual events programme including historic re-enactments, family activity days and weekends when the Blacksmith's Forge and Cider Mill are brought to life.Show less…
