Telling the story of the First World War through the events of one hundred key days between 1914 and 1918, Saul David's gripping narrative 100 days to victory looks at individual stories of men and women, both eminent and ordinary. He also includes stories from his own family's history.
His unique approach shows how the war reached far beyond the battlefield. It covers events such as the young Adolf Hitler's reaction to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the Zeppelin raid on Scarborough and the individual bravery of the first Indian recipient of the Victoria Cross.
