Joanna first showed signs of being a performer at the age of four when she sang nursery rhymes to customers at a well-known chain of pharmacies!
In 1998, Joanna finally put together a Cher tribute act. Today, she makes a living by performing as Cher and her successful career has taken her around the world; she performs her tribute act yearly on a Caribbean cruise ship and last year she performed as Cher in Dubai.
Joanna comes from a musical family and jokes that they are like the Von Trapp family in The Sound of Music.
Speaking about Cher, Joanna says, ‘I have become more of a fan because obviously you study the person you’re doing and the more I’ve learnt about her the more I’ve liked her.
‘She’s a really interesting character. She’s been five decades in the business. I’ve seen a couple of her shows and really enjoyed them because she just always puts on a fantastic show - the sets, the songs. I like a lot of her music now so I’ve become a fan.’
Joanna lives with her boyfriend Steve in Hertfordshire who is also a singer and sometimes they perform together.
Her favourite Cher songs are Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves and Love and Understanding.

Cher
Since her debut in 1965, Cher has established herself as an enduring pop icon and one of the most successful female artists in music history.
At 16, as an aspiring actress, Cher met her future husband Sonny in a coffee shop and became one half of the most successful husband and wife duo in music history. In 1965, Sonny and Cher released their album ‘Look at Us’, which contained the smash hit ‘I Got You Babe’ and reached number one on the US Billboard chart. Sonny and Cher also enjoyed TV stardom with their own show that featured guest appearances from The Jackson Five and Ronald Reagan, among others.
At 41, Cher revived her pop career with her hit ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’ and at 52 became the oldest female solo singer to top the singles chart with her best-selling single ‘Believe’.
Cher has also forged a career as a successful actress, winning an Academy Award for her role in ‘Moonstruck’.
