Laid-back Greg left school with a determination never to work a nine-to-five job. He has since tried various jobs, from working for the local butcher to attempting a hairdressing apprenticeship. However, Greg chose not to pursue any of these as a career.
Greg’s talent for singing like Rod Stewart was first spotted by one of his ex-girlfriends, when she heard him singing along to one of Rod‘s tracks and his tribute act career took off when she asked him to give a performance at the London Palladium for a children’s dance concert with which she was involved. He now gigs regularly in his local area and around the country.
Greg has a very relaxed approach to performing.
‘Well I don’t try too hard. I’m myself.
‘I just put on different coloured suits – pink, blue, yellow, white whatever. I just go out and do what comes natural. I think if you try too hard, you can over do it.’
Let’s hope Greg can bring this laid-back confidence to his live show performances!
Greg lives on his own in Essex close to his family and friends.
Greg doesn’t have a particular favourite Rod song. However, two that he says ‘work really well’ are Baby Jane and Forever Young.
