The Dusty Springfield Superfans are:

Simon Bell, Jane Northam and Carole Gibson

Simon’s story is unique among Superfans as he started as a young fan in the 60s and went on to become Dusty’s regular backing singer and close friend, they even used to share a house together. Carole saw Dusty perform over 20 times and met her on several occasions.  All three Superfans help run and administer Dusty Springfield websites or forums. Our Spotlight Superfan is Simon Bell
Occupation: Singer 

Simon has been a Dusty fan since The Springfield days. His story is rather unique among superfans as he went from running after Dusty to ask her to sign his wrist in 1964, to being a regular backing singer for her from 1978. Simon became a close friend of Dusty’s and even lived with her for some time, supporting her when she was diagnosed with cancer.
Simon has auctioned off most of his Dusty memorabilia for charity at ‘Dusty Days’, events that he organizes around the time of Dusty’s birthday for all of her fellow fans.
