As the grand final comes into view, we catch up with our five remaining acts to find out more about their time on the show.
Joanna Berns, The One and Only...Cher
How does it feel to have made it to the grand final?
I can’t believe it! I didn’t think I’d make it to the live shows. To have made it as far as the grand final is fantastic. However, I’m not going to worry too much. I just want to have a great time and love each second of the show!
What has been the hardest part of the show for you?
The hardest part of the show has been standing on stage each week, waiting to find out whether you’ve got through to the next show. However, it’s also been really difficult voting off your fellow acts.
What has been the greatest part of the show for you?
Working with such great coaches has been a privilege. But it has also been great being able to perform in a live TV environment with all the musicians and the costumes. I’ve loved everything about it!
What has been your most challenging song?
I think it would be my semi-final performance where I was in the Sing-Off for the second consecutive week. It was really difficult.
What has been your favourite song?
My favourite song was If I Could Turn Back Time. It is fantastic to sing and the choreography was great. Plus, I got to perform with sailors!
For six weeks, you have been paying tribute to Cher on live TV. However, what would you say to her were you ever to meet her?
I’d find it slightly difficult meeting Cher as she would be looking at someone who does an impersonation of her. However, it would be an honour and I’d love to have a real conversation with her. She is such a fascinating person. I would love to sit down with her and have a real, girl-to-girl chat!
What would you like to do next?
I really want to keep performing and I’d love this to be a stepping stone. It would be great to keep working with some of the other Tribute Acts. We’ll just have to see!
