24. บีบีซี รายงานข่าวได้เป็นกลางมาก แม้กระทั่งข่าวในเมืองไทย ยังไม่สามารถจะหาความจริงจากทีวี วิทยุ หรือหนังสือพิมพ์ได้ นอกจากฟังบีบีซี ยิ่งข่าวจากทั่วโลก ฟังจากบีบีซีที่เดียวก็เพียงพอที่จะดำรงชีวิตในประจำวันได้โดยไม่ล้าหลัง และยังมีสารคดียกระดับความรู้สติปัญญาอีกมากมายหลายเรื่อง

25. Like many others, this is my first time writing to BBC. I've been a silent supporter by listening to the BBC Thai Program for years. Ridiculously the management claimed that there are too less people listening to the BBC Thai Program. How do they count my head while I've been silent but listen to the program everyday? And I strongly believe that there are so many more people like me who have been following the programs but never say a word, maybe more than a million. How many does the management expect before they say "too less"?

28. รู้สึกช็อกครับเมื่อเขาจะปิดบีบีซีไทยเพราะฟังมาแต่อายุสิบกว่าตอนนี้อายุ 50 กว่า ได้มีความรู้ภาษาอังกฤษก็เพราะบีบีซี แต่ถ้าเขาจะปิดก็คงทัดทานไม่ได้ แต่ในฐานะที่เคยทำงานอยู่ในประเทศอาหรับ ปิดสิบภาษาเพื่อทุ่มด้านอาหรับคิดว่าได้ไม่คุ้มเสีย คนอาหรับเชื่ออัลอาเจซีราเพราะเป็นแหล่งข่าวอาหรับแท้ ๆ เขาอาจฟังบีบีซีแต่คงไม่สนใจเท่าไหร่ และผู้ฟังในสิบประเทศเดิมก็หลุดลอย

30. ไม่เคยเขียนมาหามาก่อนเป็นคนฟังของ BBC ทั้งเช้าเย็นมาตั้งแต่เริ่มเข้าโรงเรียนจนทุกวันนี้เรียนจบแล้ว เป็นรายการที่ช่วยให้การเริ่มต้นของวันมีคุณค่าแม้ต้องติดอยู่ในรถเป็นชั่วโมง ๆ ถึงรูปแบบรายการจะเปลี่ยนไปแต่ยังเป็นสื่อที่ส่งข่าวและสาระต่าง ๆ ทั้งจากส่วนอื่น ๆ ของโลกที่อยู่ไกลและข่าวที่อยู่ใกล้แต่ไม่มีใครกล้านำเสนอความจริงให้ประชาชนได้รับรู้ตลอดมา ไม่อยากให้ bbc ภาคภาษาไทยต้องปิดเลยคะ ขอให้กำลังใจทุกๆคนและขอให้ยืนหยัดต่อสู้ต่อไปนะคะ

31. This is the first time I've wrote to BBC Thai. The BBC's decision is a disappointing and sad one, especially since I was under the comforting impression that no matter where I am in the world, even whilst doing field work for my thesis here in Inner Mongolia, China, I would still be able to listen to a Thai voice either through the radio, or more often now, the Internet. Once again, the BBC seems to be chasing gold at the end of the rainbow again by short-sightedly jumping on the Arabic bandwagon. By all means, promote freedom in other parts of the world, but please don't let old democracies die. Is Thailand a strong democracy with a free press? To me and my family personally, the decision is an especially sad one. The BBC is not merely a radio station. It is a source of inspiration, knowledge, and more often than not in the past, freedom.
