Journey planner services

To plan a journey across the patch you can use the Journey Planner facility from Traveline North East or call 0870 608 2 608.

The facility allows you to travel from A to B, by as many modes of transport as you choose (bus, train, ferry or Tyne & Wear Metro) and searches through the latest timetables from operators across the region to plan your journey.

Traveline can also help with ticketing and route enquiries for all operators.

There are similar services that just deal with County Durham and North Yorkshire.

For more info on public transport in the region you can also call into the Travelshops run by the bus operators at:

The Shambles, High Street, Stockton, TS18 1AU between 0900 and 1700 Monday to Friday and 0830 to 1600 on Saturdays.

Middlesbrough Bus Station, Newport Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 5AH between 0900 and 1645 Monday to Friday and 0900 to 1500 on Saturdays.

8 Market Place, Hartlepool, TS24 7SB between 0845 and 1645 Monday to Thursday, 0845 to 1615 on Fridays and 0900 to 1200 on Saturdays.

You can also use ticket machines or buy some local tickets from conductors on Arriva trains.

A number of commercial sites exist to book train tickets online - operators usually provide links to online booking on their websites.
