Blast

Hello, my name is Linda Mutunga and I have recently joined the BBC Tees team as a BBC Introducing Blast reporter!

Ever since I was young I can remember music being a big part of my life. Whether it was my dad howling the best of Dolly Parton, or watching Spanish operas that I didn't really understand... but could really sing along to.

I am so excited to be part of the team and am thrilled to be based in Tees, there is so much hidden talent here, all waiting to be discovered.

There is no better feeling than hearing something new, and to have the opportunity to showcase such talent really is living the dream.

I would like to encourage everyone to get involved!

I love hearing something new and different, it may be that you have a live gig on soon or you have just set up a music page, just let me know!

In my time here I would like to be able to try my hand at everything, I want to offer unsigned acts the opportunity to showcase their work and I am eager to learn new skills and techniques both from my team here in BBC Tees and through all the people I meet.

It would be great to get to a point where what I learn questions what I already know!
