What's your favourite part of our area:

Driving down the hill in Saltburn and seeing the sea – makes me smile every time!

Previous jobs: 

I've been very fortunate that I've never had any rubbish jobs, I started hanging around my local radio station when I was a teenager and eventually they gave me a job!

Why do you love your job:

The variety, no two days are the same and you're always meeting different people that you otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to meet.

Most interesting person you have interviewed for radio:

Probably Stan Perkins, son of singer, Carl Perkins. I spent a couple of hours just chatting to him, he had such interesting tales to tell about not only his father but also Elvis, Johnny Cash and the other Sun Recording artists at the time.

Person you would most enjoy being stuck in a lift with:

Shayne Ward – no explanation needed!

First record you bought:

I'm ashamed to say it but it was ‘Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini’ by Timmy Mallett!

Where you are when you get most of your inspiration or creative thoughts:

Usually driving into work, it’s saved me on a number of occasions when I've thought it’s going to be a very quiet show!!

Funny sayings you like to use:

I tend to use some Northern Ireland phrases which make my friends laugh, ending most sentences with ‘so it is’ seems to raise the most giggles! (so it is)

Any habits, annoying or otherwise:

I've decided to get my other half to answer this…

“Where do I start... incredibly indecisive, the constant need to wash her hands, the obsession of ordering the tinned food cupboard into categories such as “beans”, “beans with sausages”, “spaghetti”, “spaghetti hoops”, “spaghetti hoops with sausages”….need I go on?’
