Meet Dean Wilson
Middlesbrough singing sensation Dean Wilson had his dreams of stardom dashed when he was knocked out of ITV1's Britain's Got Talent. However the 18 year old is still determined to reach the West End Stage.
Dean went to a local drama and dance group when he was 9 years old.
Whilst there he found his love of singing and now attends the Northern School of Music once a week where he has been a student for the last seven years.
He regularly performs in their musicals and he has played the lead role more than once including Tony in West Side Story and Bugsy in Bugsy Malone.
Dean admits that at school he wondered whether he should take up boxing or football instead - something "less girly" than musical theatre.
Dean entered Britain’s Got Talent because he wants a break into the commercial world of performance and his absolute dream is to be a performer on the West End.
He was knocked out of the competition by sixteen year old Kate Nicholas and Gin the dancing dog.
Despite the knockback Dean's vowed to continue his climb to the top and says he won't give up his dream of West End stardom.
