A Bloomin' good time

Adam Bloom talks to Gobstopper about his gig at the Arc in Stockton as well as his up and coming radio program.

Somewhere between McDonald's meal sales and nestling birds, Adam Bloom talks about his success at the Edinburgh festival and his love of heckles.

You've got quite a reputation to live up to haven't you?

Have I?

Well according to your website you have.

Oh yes, but you've got to remember, a person's website is always written by that person.

And I forgot I wrote "I am great"

You've had six shows at Edinburgh before and you've always done really well. But you're not there this year, why's that?

I'm busy writing six half hour shows for Radio 4, going out in October.

Rob Rouse, Hatty Hayridge, Stefano Paolini and Alfie Joey are all in it, all of the shows have themes.

It's about everyday things, reading, technology, just things I have to tackle every day.

So should we be expecting similar stuff from you tomorrow night? What's your show like these days?

I never go on stage with a routine, I'm like a DJ with a box of records really, I just go onstage and pull them out in random order.

Mark Drury and Bob Fischer host Gobstopper every Wednesday from 7pm to 10pm on Radio Cleveland 95FM.
