We’re all stunned by the natural disaster that has torn Asia apart & with every new news bulletin, things become more unbelievable.

It’s impossible to ignore this and wait for it to go away without some feelings being actuated inside that make you wanna do something to help, however insignificant that might be.

What can we do?

Probably not much but we do have a large circle of people around us who, I’m sure, are equally as heartbroken, so maybe there is something very basic that we can do.

The first thing that crossed my mind as I watched the scenes on the news broadcasts, having been to some of these affected places was – how can people who have nothing to start with, possibly survive now that everything they did have has been washed away?

My missus & I have spent all day digging through drawers, cupboards, the loft, garage EVERYWHERE and put together several bags of clothes that will obviously be welcomed in an area where, beside this tragedy, monsoon season is just about to hit!

Can you help us & do the same? – just bag up any clothing that you don’t need anymore and let’s put a serious parcel together for The Red Cross Bags can be dropped of at the back yard of The Acklam pub – all day, everyday from tomorrow, Thursday 30th and we’ll forward them on.

The gate will be left unlocked and it’ll be obvious to you where you can drop your bags.
