There’s gonna be ladies, there’s gonna be a lot of them, and by gosh, they’re gonna be taking their kecks off.

Needless to say, we all put our hands in the air – “Erm, do you have any free tickets?”

Well my sweets, it’s a good job they did have free tickets, and had a pair with my name on them, because I wouldn’t have missed that show for the world.

I just want to take this moment to point out that these ladies are not strippers, they’re not cheap, degrading, or lewd, they’re exactly as I said – ladies. And they're bloody good fun.

Not something I’ve seen before, I didn’t really know what to expect, but stood grinning at the front with the rest of the Play kids, eagerly awaiting enlightenment.

Starting off with the host of the evening in her pasties and pants, getting dressed to music, these real women with real bodies and real attitude played in three sets, with music filling the gaps.

The acts can be best described as sexy cabaret, involving dressing up and a few props. Nothing like that you filthy blighters – we’re talking hats, gloves, and a dinghy...yes, a dinghy (see photos if you want an full explanation)

With five Fluffgirls, we had ten performances all different, and all excellent in their own way. We had a Little Bo Peep, the highly anticipated feather fan act, and some very glamourous underwear. (Which nearly every female in the audience gushed over.)

I defy anyone to disagree.

So, what can I say?

Was I disgusted? No.

Did I feel isolated as a woman? No.

Do I want to be a Fluffgirl? Hell yeah, and I want that red lipstick Tallulah Freeway was wearing!

I have seen a few burlesque shows and i would never go to a strip show, they are fun, tasteful and are in no way degrading at all. I have heard of a few people who hear that to go to a burlesque show all there is to think about is stringfellows and other Lapdancing clubs, well let me tell you that my wife enjoys going to a burlesque show with me but we would never go to a lap dancing club. It is a pity that burlesque is not at all mainstream as a show like some of the ones i have seen are very entertaining and VERY few show srong nudity- that is not what burlesque is about and if more people understood this then maybe more people would frequent these shows than the their more sordid counterparts, I and my wife both feel that a burlesque has a lot more to show in taste and entertainment than the soft to hard core pornography shown on some stages, and i cannot wait to see the fluff girls again. Thank you for bringing this to the the publics attention
