Sam Youd, Garden Manager at Tatton Park, has been gardening since he was eight years old. He served his apprenticeship with Liverpool Parks Department and in 1980 moved to Tatton Park, becoming Head Gardener in 1983. Since then he has overseen the 50 acres of landscaped gardens and been involved with conservation and restoration projects, including the celebrated Japanese Garden and Kitchen Garden. Sam has designed many gardens and flower beds at Tatton Show over the years and this year he is entering a Back to back garden called 'The Hermit's Grotto'
Tom our senior content producer, is a keen gardener with a degree in horticulture. He's always on the look out for new perennials for his garden
Gilly Brennan, horticultural researcher, is a gardener, landscaper and all-round plant enthusiast who believes that succulents are the way forward.
