So you're gay, you're ready for scary world of relationships and now you want to find the girl or boy of your dreams? There's really only one golden rule: increase the odds of meeting them.

Under-18s can have a hard time meeting people as the gay scene is largely focused on bars and clubs.
But help is at hand - there are a number of youth groups, publications, websites and helplines dedicated to helping you link up with others.
They'll have info on local social and support groups (often these will be a mix of gay boys and girls), they know about events in your area and are often just good to chat to if you're feeling isolated.

Travel broadens the mind
Pride festivals - Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender outdoor festivals - take place every summer around the UK.
They basically involve hundreds or sometimes thousands of gay guys and girls having fun in a big park.
Persuade a mate or two to go along with you. You never know who you might meet.
Do you really want this?
Make sure you're clear about what you're looking for. Are you looking for love, or something a bit less serious?
If you do hook up with someone, make sure you both understand which it is you're doing. One-off snogs can be a harsh reality-check if you thought you'd found 'the one'.

just like to let people that are finding it hard. there's nothing to worry about you might feel like the odd one out when you first start realising your sexuallity but once you find that person that cares for you as much as you do no one else matters as long as your happy. i have been with my girlfriend for 2 years now and its the happiest i have been since i gave up on boys, they where just not for me.
