Hiding where you've been online

If you're using a public computer (at school, the library, home, wherever) the next person who uses that computer might be able to see the pages you've been looking at.

You can hide your tracks by deleting your browser's history.

With Internet Explorer

  • Click Tools > Internet Options
  • Make sure you're on the General tab
  • Click Clear History and say Yes to any boxes that pop up.
  • Rejoice, because you are done.

With Firefox

  • Click Tools > Options
  • Make sure you're on the Privacy tab
  • Click Clear Browsing History Now and say Yes to any boxes that pop up.
  • That is all.
