It could be that he really does like you, but says these things to his friends so that he doesn't seem vulnerable to them and saves face when he's around his boys.

On the other hand, it could be that this boy is using you just so he can be all over you whenever you go around his place. If this is the case, then you can't let it go on, even if you do want a relationship or just to be close to him.

I'm not saying that he is definitely using you, but you need to find out either way.

Next time you and he are alone, just ask him how he feels about you. Then check that his actions when he's around his mates back up his words to you in private. If not, then you need to drop him.
