My friend embarrasses me for no reason
My friend tends to embarrass me in front of over people, like telling them stuff that I didn't know, stuff which they know and I didn't.
It proper does my head in because she only does it around new people to break the ice, but yet if I did it to her, it would be a completely different story.
She is such an attention seeker some times and the stuff what I didn't know was rude stuff, not the basics but more into it lol.

Slink Anna's mate Spencer says:
Louise, have you spoken to your friend about this?
Did you tell her that it bothers you when she embarrasses you?
You might also want to ask if anything is bothering her. It's possible that she's trying so hard to get attention because she's having problems with herself or at home.
In this situation, the best thing to do would be to go to her as a friend and see what you can do to help. If you both tell each other what's on the other's mind, it will hopefully clear up the problem in no time.
Friendship is about communication, patience, and trust. Sometimes people will put others down to make themselves feel better, even if it is to their friends, because they feel insecure about themselves.
Sometimes they do this to impress new people - they don't feel confident about themselves. They may feel that more friends will help their confidence or make them feel better.
If this is the case, you may want to see how you can help her make more friends in a way that won't embarrass you. You might be able to meet new people together in a more natural, friendly way.
Good luck!
Your thoughts:
Your friend probably is just seeking attention from the new person you're talking to. It's probably just her way of coping with slightly awkward situations, and bigging herself up in front of new people.
Next time she does it, try cracking a joke about what she says, even if you're not totally sure what she means.
She probably doesn't know as much as she makes out anyway, and don't forget - you can learn a lot from slink and the surgery about that sort of stuff!

Next week's question:
Hey,
I used to be best friends with this girl and when we moved to our grammar school we grew further and further apart.
Now we like never talk. I still want to be her friend and I think she wants to be mine too, but there are other girls that always suck up to her and stuff because she is good fun and quite popular. I think they are getting in the way of our friendship getting along.
I don't know if things will ever be the same. I've tried loads of times for us to be friends again but she doesnt really make the effort. I feel like she is being stubborn to me.
Should I keep trying or should I let it go and just hang out with my new best friends all the time now?????
And also she tells her mum everything and her mum thinks I have like destroyed her childhood so her mum takes it really seriously and hates me now!!!
What do I do?????
