Friends helping friends

Friends, eh? They can be flippin hard work. You keep emailing us about them, so we're putting as many of your questions as we can up here >>>

All my mates have boyfs except me

A girl applying lippy

I go to a private school where everyone is either rich or completely gorgeous, and most people are both. Unfortunately, I am neither.

All my friends have boyfriends, or at least 2 guys like them, and when they talk about them I feel really left out. Some of them even make fun of me because of it!

How do I tell them how I feel without sounding like I'm attention seeking, or fishing for compliments?

Bailey, 13

A girl looking at a boy

Don't let your friends make fun of you Bailey! And believe in yourself.

I bet most of the girls you say are completely gorgeous think quite highly of themselves too... and really that's a very unattractive quality!

Feel good about who you are, what you've got and what you look like. I'm sure you're gorgeous too. But the main thing is to feel happy with who you are, and be a positive person.

Not only will you feel happier, but people (including dem boys) will probably want to hang around you more.

And any boy who's interested in how rich you are is not the man of your dreams. Besides, they're the ones who are supposed to be buying us all the presents!

Tell your friends to stop giving you stick, and start giving you some helpful pointers to bag yourself a boy.

Your thoughts:

Friends making up

Hi Bailey,

I think the first thing you need to do is realise that it doesn't matter that you haven't got a boyfriend!

I'm nearly 16 and have never had a boyfriend, there's no rush - boys aren't suddenly going to disapear from earth! You'll meet someone when the time is right! :D

As for your friends, I think you just have to tell them that you feel left out and if they do make fun of you for not having a boyfriend, tell them not to and tell them how much they are hurting you.

You won't sound like you're attention seeking, and if they continue laughing at you, they're obviously not really friends!

Hope I've helped and Good Luck! xx

Bee, 15

Next week's question:

My friend tends to embarrass me in front of over people, like telling them stuff that I didn't know, stuff which they know and I didn't.

It proper does my head in because she only does it around new people to break the ice, but yet if I did it to her, it would be a completely different story.

She is such an attention seeker some times and the stuff what I didn't know was rude stuff, not the basics but more into it lol.

Louise, 16
