I'm worried about my friend's stealing

A money house

Hi me and my friend have known each other since we were babys. Our mums are best friends. She has got ADHD so it makes her go a bit mental . Today she told me she stole two things from a shop worth £20. She said she wouldn't do it again but I don't know whether I should tell anyone. She said not to. I knew she was a bit crazy but I never thought she would do this! Please HELP!!!! thanks:)

Beth, 14

OK, tricky one. What she's done here is wrong, Beth. You know that. You sound like a switched on sort of girly. You need to make it clear to your friend that you care about her loads but you're not cool with this.

In fact you might tell her you're not going down the mall with her any more, if you're going to end up sitting in the police station over a stolen rubbish nail varnish and a Hollyoaks calender. (Least fun Saturday in the world EVER).

One thing's for sure, your friend is having a hard time in her own head. If you can talk to your mum, you might want to say you're worried about your friend right now. You don't need to tell mum every little detail. Just say you've noticed a change.

However, if you think your friend is getting up to even more risky, scary business, you might need to tell an adult. You don't want to get yourself all stressed out coping with this alone. Maybe you, your mum and your mum's best mate can join forces and solve this problem together. Good luck.

Love,
Grace x
