Amy's Story

It all started about 2 years ago when we got a new teacher called Mr Jacobs. He was very cool, young and he was seriously hot. Me and my mates would always joke about how cute he was, but of course it was all harmless fun.

He soon started acting a little strange around me. I didn't really notice it at first; it was just small things like him touching my shoulder or just looking at me with a smile when he walked past my desk.

After a while, I picked up on it and mentioned it to my friends, half-jokingly. My friends started to joke around saying that I was only imagining it because I fancied him. It was silly of me really but I played up to it a bit. Looking back I should have said something.

Things got serious

The next few months got worse and he kept doing small things to get my attention. Then one day he told me to stay behind after class because he needed a word with me. I was a bit nervous.

After class I did as he asked and stayed behind. He walked over to me and sat on my desk looking at me. Then he said that I was special to him and he wanted me to get more involved with after school activities. And that's when the unbelievable happened. He gave me this cheeky grin… and then he leaned in to kiss me.

Coming round

Of COURSE I didn't let him! It was so, so wrong. I ran out quickly and told my friends what had happened and they told me that Mr Jacobs was the head of the after school clubs. No wonder he wanted me to get involved.

I got really freaked out as I had heard about teacher and student relationships before but I never thought it would happen to me. Didn't he realise how wrong this was? I was 15! He could lose his job and even be arrested.

What to do?

That night I couldn't sleep, he was all I could think about. What should I do? Ignore it? No matter how much I thought about it, I knew in my heart that there was only one right answer. I had to tell someone.

It took everything within me to pluck up the courage to tell my parents and the head teacher, but they reacted really well and were really supportive.

The head took it very seriously and had a word with him about it. she assured us she would keep a very close eye on the situation and if anything else happened to me or anyone else, that we must come straight to her.

I did the right thing

I have now moved away to a different school but apparently he is still at my old school. I recently heard that he started on another girl in my old class, but that this is being dealt with very seriously.

It frightens me to think what could have happened if I hadn't told people about this. I know I did the right thing and I'm proud of myself for doing that.
