A-Z of You

  • How to Chat-Up Boys

  • How to Chat-Up Boys

Don’t hang around forever waiting for your future bf to realise that you’re the girl of his dreams. Get real, get confident and go get him.

Take action

You’ve spent weeks eyeing him up across the school canteen and have discussed his every move with your mates. But we all know that boys can be a bit crap when it comes to making the first move, so why not take matters into your own hands? Remember - you won’t get any action til you take some action

Repeat after me...

Most boys would love a girl to make the first move (cowards!) so let that be your mantra on the big day.

Pick a time when he’s on his own - then you’ll have his undivided attention without his mates sniggering in the background.

Be yourself. Don’t jump in with anything too heavy. And don’t try any cheesy lines - they’re bound to come across as just plain cringey.

Just be yourself

‘Have you been working out?’

Once you've got him alone and have started working your chat-up charm, you need to make your intentions clear (assuming you've resisted the urge to go straight in for a snog).

Boys go just as gooey for compliments as we do, so massage his ego with some heart-felt compliments.

If he says no

Don’t let fear of rejection put you off.

If he knocks you back it could be for all kinds of reasons: he’s too shy, he’s gay, he’s already got a girlfriend or maybe his mate fancies you (hmm, actually his mate is quite fit). Whatever the reason, he’ll be so flattered that you asked he’ll probably let you down very gently.

And when you’ve done it once, you’ll realise that it’s not really as big and scary an ordeal as you thought it was. So, what are you waiting for? Get out there!
