Do glasses on a girl matter to a boy? Do they think of them as really geeky or nerdy?
List of people that traditionally wear glasses: teachers, boffins, middle-aged men, your Nan, Harold Bishop.
It's not quite the coolest guest list in town. But specs have their good points too.
One, they prevent you walking into doors/passing traffic. Two, wearing them is a cunning way of making people think you're clever - and much cheaper than going to university. Three, lots of boys think they look hot on girls. No, really.
It depends what bins you wear, obviously. You can't complain about looking nerdy if you shuffle around the playground in a pair of thick-rimmed 1970s NHS-issue goggles, your oversized eyes darting around like creepy, swivelling footballs. But if you find a pair that suits you, plenty of boys will be giving you the eye.
Sure, specs can look geeky, but boys don't mind geeky. And the best thing is that if you look even half-decent in glasses, lads will assume you look even better when you take them off! It adds to the mystery.
Sadly, the same can't be said for boys.
It's quite tricky for any lad under 16 to pull off the bespectacled look. I know this because I spent most of my childhood wearing them and I looked like a twit.
But for chicks, wearing bins is in. And it sure beats being run over.
Slink says: 'bins' is clearly boy-slang for specs, but we have never heard it before, ever. We quite like it, though.
Please remember: Kev is not an expert, he is just a boy and sometimes quite a silly boy. The main thing to remember when it comes to lads and relationships is to expect respect as the absolute minimum. Find out more about a Women's Aid campaign of the same name.
