Boy's View

Updated: Wednesday

Slink's resident boy reveals the inner workings of his kind

What is the best way to ask a boy out that is simple but they also find cute?

Boys are not as scary as they look and you'll find that if you ask them out, they'll often say yes.

Here are five cute and simple ways to ask a boy out that are guaranteed to work*.

1) You
Ask him yourself, to his face, in private.
Pros: He will be touched by your bravery and honesty.
Cons: Scary.

2) Mate
Get one of your mates to ask him for you. This cowardly, brilliant method is favoured by boys.
Pros: If he says no, you can deny all knowledge and blame your friend.
Cons: You might need to have a pretend fight with your friend in public to make the story convincing.

3) Sauce
Write the words: "Will you go out with me?" on the wall of his house in tomato ketchup.
Pros: Artistic, dramatic.
Cons: Waste of food. He may mistake the ketchup for blood and call the police.

4) Dog
Write a note to the boy asking him out. Find a clever dog, attach the note to its collar and command it to deliver it to the boy.
Pros: Cute, original.
Cons: The dog may get run over on its journey and you will feel partially responsible.

5) Crisps
Use the same note. Place it inside a packet of crisps and then reseal the packet using a special laser. Give boy the crisps as a gift.
Pros: Boy will be on a natural high due to crisps and will probably say yes to anything.
Cons: He may eat the note by accident, especially if it's covered in crisp dust.

*Disclaimer: Not all of these ways are particularly simple and some of them might not work.

Please remember: Kev is not an expert, he is just a boy and sometimes quite a silly boy. The main thing to remember when it comes to lads and relationships is to expect respect as the absolute minimum. Find out more about a Women's Aid campaign of the same name.
