If you're a curly girl then your hair needs extra care to give it that bounce and body.

One of the most common problems with curly hair is that it looks frizzy if not looked after and needs intensive moisturiser treatments to keep the curl activated.

To tame tangles when doing your hair avoid brushes. Instead, use a wide tooth comb or afro comb to separate and style the hair to make it more manageable.

Buy shampoos and conditioners formulated for curly hair and try a leave-in conditioner which is particularly good for your hair type as it helps to give curl separation and definition.

When styling hair either dry on a lower heat using a diffuser, or for better results let your hair dry naturally as this will give you the most natural curl.

Between washes you can always reactivate the curl by misting with water and scrunching the hair by hand.
