  • Fake Tan

  • Fake Tan

If you want the perfect tan that will make everyone wonder where you've been on holiday, follow our simple rules.

1

Patch Test

If you're a first timer do a patch test to check that you like the colour, otherwise you'll look like you've been tangoed.

Cleanse
2

Exfoliate

Next, remove any dry skin with a body scrub or loofah, concentrating on dry areas like elbows and knees.
If you're tanning your face, exfoliate first with a flannel or face sponge, as it won't be so easy to cover up if it goes patchy.

Tone
3

Apply

Apply the fake tan to your body, paying special attention to the elbows and knees.
Remember that dry areas are more absorbent and therefore more likely to go streaky.

Moisturise

Tips
• When you've finished, wash your hands so you don't get brown palms - a dead giveaway!
• Remember to de-fuzz your legs the night before you tan, so you've got a smooth surface to work on.
• Fake tans offer no protection from the sun, so always apply sun screen before soaking up the rays.
• Remember clothing and furniture can absorb fake tan too, so wear next to nothing for approximately an hour until you know it's dry.
