The awards ceremony in Berlin was all about Beyoncé. Performing Sweet Dreams and picking up three awards for Best Female, Best Song: Halo and Best Video: Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) the singer would have needed help carrying her trophies home.
Other winners included Jay-Z who won best Urban artist and Pixie Lott who picked up the new MTV Push Artist award. The show was packed with celebs, including the Jonas Brothers and Leona Lewis who performed Happy.
Hosted by Katy Perry, the show was broadcast around the world to more than 500 million viewers.
