The BBC Procurement team last night won the Public Sector Outsourcing Project of the Year award at the National Outsourcing Association Awards.

The award recognised the work that went into the re-procurement of TV Licensing's collection, administration and enforcement services. The contract, awarded to Capita Group Plc last year and came into force 1st July 2012, represents savings to the BBC of over £220m over the eight years of the contract.

The event also saw Head of BBC Procurement Jim Hemmington win the award for In-house Outsourcing Professional of the Year.

The full list of winners can be seen on the National Outsourcing Association Awards website.
