The Dawn Parade

The Dawn Parade in the BBC Suffolk studio
The Dawn Parade are no strangers to a BBC recording session. They've already recorded a session for BBC Radio 1's John Peel at the legendary Maida Vale studios so laying down some live tracks for UWR was never going to faze them.

mini review
The Dawn Parade might not be breaking new ground with their sound, or be much of a contrast to the pack but when journalists from Rolling Stone decide to name one of your songs as 'Single of the Year' that's generally accepted as meaning that you're doing something right.

The full Dawn Parade line-up is:

Greg McDonald - Vocals, Guitar
Jeremy Jones - Lead Guitar
Steve McLoughlin - Vocals, Bass Guitar
Mark Sewell - Drums

The Dawn Parade's previous EP releases have received praise from the dizzy heights of the NME and Rolling Stone and the band are working hard to achieve the recognition that they honestly believe they deserve. And let's face it, if you don't believe in yourself, no-one else will.

They hope to record their debut album before the spring of 2005 but have to get their next tour out of the way first. It kicks off in November so if you like what you've heard here go and check them out live.

We invited them into the BBC Suffolk studios to record some tracks exclusively for UWR. You can hear two of these tracks from the links above and by tuning into Unsigned Web Radio here.

come on, we want your album & some decent gigs in town. I've only seen The Dawn Parade twice, but they're bloody amazing (even if they did end up cancelling 2 other gigs I was going to) can't wait for the album!
