Miss Black America
Miss Black America
Seymour Glass - MBA front-man
Miss Black America have known good and bad times. They've won band contests, recorded sessions for Radio 1 and been reviewed by Q, NME and Rollingstone but band members (and even little fingers) have come and gone.

mini review
These guys have been there done that and own all the t-shirts from the world of the 'Unsigned' band. They've achieved everything except finding a home at a major label. And for the life of me I can't understand why. Their enigmatic, powerful sound deserves to be heard by so many more people.

The full MBA line-up is:

Ryan Banwell - bass
Mat Anthony - guitar/voice
Simon Chapple - drums
Seymour Glass - voice/guitar

MBA formed in October 1999, within two weeks they'd played their first gig and by August 2000 they were supporting The Dandy Warhols.

They released their first EP in May 2001 and began recording the debut album, God Bless Miss Black America, in September of the same year.

Unfortunately it's first review in NME wasn't all that favourable, their record company went bust and the original line-up imploded.

However, successfull sessions for John Peel helped front-man Seymour Glass to recruit new members and in May 2003 MBA supported Therapy? on their UK tour.

They continued to write and gig like crazy and in June 2004 they began to record their second album, Terminal, which is due for release in 2005 through R>E>P>E>A>T Records.
