To become a jockey takes a lot of hard work. You can not just turn up at a stables and ask to ride a racehorse.

Like most things, you have to start at the bottom and work your way up. This means getting up at the crack of dawn to feed, groom and muck out.

Over time the stable you work for will give you the chance to ride in a few races but only after you have ridden 95 winners can you class yourself as a professional.

Have you trained as a jockey? Was it a rewarding experience?
