Framlingham is most well known for its famous castle. Visitors come from all over the world to visit the substantial remains at this historically important site.

But there is more to this town than its castle, impressive though it is.

Framlingham is also home to one of the oldest bowls clubs in the country, with records showing it has existed since 1553.

If you fancy a gentle walk, you can do a lot worse than strole round the mere, a shallow lake and wetland area teeming with birds and wildlife.

Framlingham is a very pleasant place, and understanbly the local people are very fond of it.

Have you ever visited Framlingham Castle? What was it like?

I love returning to Framlingham in springtime to see the ducklings crossing the road from the methodists church to Keith Zorba's Kebab shop. A thoroughly enjoyable little slice of Suffolk.

yes, i visited framlingham and found it very delightful, especially the homemade cake Rose makes at The Crown. She calls it 'My Rocket 88'! I recommend visiting the superb college and its more than valuable music rooms.
