Exning Church
Up until the mid-19th century this was just a small rural settlement.

By the mid 20th century it started to expand and a new breed moved in, commuters intent on escaping to the country.

If you delve a little deeper into the history books, legend has it that Exning was the capital of Celtic Queen Bodicia’s kingdom.

When the black plague reached the village she and her followers fled to a settlement they call Newmarket.

Exning has recently triumphed in the district councils village of the year award and its bought a great sense of achievement for the parish.

i have been a resendent of exning for some years and i have found it to be a very pleasing place to live, the youths however have proven to be a tad disruptful but smashing my windows and sending rude letters but other than that its very pleasent!!!

My Grandparents both lived in Exning and were married in Exning Church in December 1939.
