Your Suffolk history stories

From the rolling landscapes of Constable country, to the hallowed turf of Portman Road, Suffolk is a county which is rich in history and each place has a story to tell.

But the place would be nothing without its people, and that's why we're asking for your memories and stories for our local history section.

Do you have a memory you would like to share? Did you work on the docks? Or do you have experiences of the county's interesting military past?

Maybe you can remember going to the Gaumont Theatre in Ipswich, or the Claremont Pier in Lowestoft back in its glory days?

With the county constantly changing and developing before us, we want to hear your personal stories of its history.

Either e-mail us:
