Suffolk Sessions

You are in: Suffolk > Entertainment > Music > Suffolk Sessions > Mohawk

The Felixstowe band came into BBC Radio Suffolk to record a Suffolk Session which was originally broadcast on Stephen Foster's Drivetime show in March 2007.

Spencer Lee Horton - guitar, keyboards & vocals
Andy Burlace - drums & vocals
Graham Hawkins - bass & vocals

Mohawk came together in December 2005 and their debut album is called Moon Reservation. They say they're aiming for a a retro and modern combination of styles blended together to form a new-age, space-rock concept.

Their influences include Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Joe Satriani,  Black Sabbath, Muse, Blink 182 and Slipknot.  But listen to the tracks and judge for yourself...

Mohawk's Andy Burlace

Spencer has a history of being a guitar for hire which is seemingly at odds with Mohawk's style.  It includes playing with Chesney Hawkes, Lulu, Darius Danesh and Ronan Keating which has led to him appearing on BBC television shows including Top Of The Pops, Blue Peter and even EastEnders!

The BBC Suffolk Session was recorded and engineered by David Butcher.

Lead vocals are weak they should think about getting a decent vocalist i think and then they would sound better?
