aflightoremember

aflightoremember RIP. Marc Newby's project, which saw the teenager on vocals/piano/guitar, is over.

Having recorded over 90 tracks, toured the country twice and played close to 100 gigs, the 19-year-old performed his last show on 29 December 2007.

"A briskly-strummed acoustic guitar reminds us of Johnny Marr. High-pitched vocals are delivered with emotion although the words are hard to make out."

Mini review

A new "melodic pop band in the shape of Weezer and Jimmy Eat World" is scheduled for 2008.

In 2007 Marc went on a two week full UK tour with Short Term Diary, who he released a split 7" single with.

He also got to run his own record label, Dead Ship Records.

At the end of his teenage years, Marc has proven to be a motivated and prolific songwriter and has shown what can be achieved with a bit of effort.
