Amy De-Keyzer
Amy De-Keyzer - Blast Reporter 2005

Amy De-Keyzer - Blast 2005

Hey!! For the next 8 weeks I will be reporting and writing for the Blast section. I will be writing about events including dance, drama, film, music and writing, in and around Suffolk, and informing all of you about the events to go to.

NAME: Amy De-Keyzer (DeeKay to my friends)

AGE:16

BORN AND BRED: I was born in the wonderful county of Surrey, but have spent most of my life here in the agricultural centre of the universe, Suffolk!

INTERESTS: I love music and spend a lot of my time going to gigs and dancing to ridiculously loud music in my room! I also own a horse, so a lot of my time is spent riding and clearing up after him!

LIKES: I love music and drama, and also writing. I am very interested in a future in journalism, so this will be good fun. I also love going out with my friends, as well as meeting new people. I have a strange, but healthy obsession with Bam Margera…mmm!

DISLIKES: I hate boats and deep water, maybe something to do with Jaws or possibly a fear of the unknown, I’m not sure.

INTERESTING FACT: I have a boyfriend called Dan, I love lemon cheesecake and am slightly obsessed with Hollyoaks and Big Brother, ANTHONY TO WIN!

I would love to receive any feedback or ideas for the Blast section. Also, if you know of any event, or are in a band playing a gig and would like me to cover it just let me know. I am also happy to ask any questions you might have about this section, I’m here to help, so use the link and get in touch!

How did you find working for the BBC? I suppose it was all very exciting and each assigment was a new thrill? did you get to edit your own stuff? Did you edit digitaly? or on Reel to Reel? what type of work did you do? live broadcast? recorded interviews? I worked for the BBC once in the Suffolk Action team now I live in Spain (yes I know I am in hiding lol) I often give interviews with Rachel Slone or Lesley Dolphin I still get the shakes even though I have my own radio show here in Elda near Sax Alicante. so you see even us pors get the shakes. The very best of luck in your life and keep studying hard. "If you reach high enough you will catch that star." David SR

Hey baby, looks like your having fun so far, so keep it up! Oh, and if you feel like asking around the BBC for a good vocalist....we'd be very grateful! hehe see you soon xxx

Damon
Maybe if you spent some time living in a rundown council house, worked 40 hours a week to bring home under £200 a week, maybe you'd understand why people call you posh, saying that I have no accent for some unknown reason (I've lived here for many years), being sympathetic to those poorer than you is not good enough, you have to be able to empathise, earn your own money and travel the world, you'll see :-) Good luck and make good use of your opportunity with the BBC, they need some talent ;-)

tom
