Darrien and Hollie talk about the final.
This Saturday Darrien and Hollie will be dancing a Milonga and a Freestyle routine, plus, if they make it through to the final two, a Guapacha. We caught up with them to talk about the final.
How are you feeling about the final?
Hollie: I'm excited and very nervous at the same time and I'm so determined that Darrien and I have to win.
Darrien: I'm really, really excited and I'm actually not as nervous as I thought I'd be. We went out yesterday and seeing the crowds and stuff has really made it more exciting for me.
How's the training going this week?
Hollie: The training's going really, really well. We had the whistle-stop tour yesterday which was the best day ever. There were so many people supporting us.
Darrien: Every spare minute we've got we're going over the steps for our three dances. It's none stop. It's really good because we're having fun while we're doing it. It's the last week of this whole experience. We need to enjoy it and not stress out.
What's the atmosphere like in the Mansion?
Hollie: Obviously, it's getting a little bit more competitive now it's getting closer to the final; still everyone's really friendly with each other so it's nice.
Darrien: Today has been so much fun because we've all been together. Obviously, the atmosphere has changed because it's a competition, but not in a really nasty way. Everyone's still getting on well.
Can you tell us anything about your routines? Is there anything we should look out for?
Hollie: With our freestyle it's a very energetic pace. There's so much packed into it. It's our last chance to perform so we've really gone for it and pushed ourselves to the limit.
Darrien: Yeah! Our routines are just tricks and different styles, the connection between us. Because Arlene said I need muscle to Hustle I've been flinging Hollie about to show her I can do it. It's a mixture of different styles. There's a bit of Hollie's street in there, there's a bit of freestyle and there's a bit of lyrical. Hopefully the crowd will really enjoy it.
How do you rate your chances?
Hollie: I don't know but we're determined. Darrien and I want to win, we have to win. We want it more than anybody else.
Darrien: We're going to go out there and dance the best. We go out there every week and dance as if we're going to get sent home, and we're going to do that this week as it's our last chance.
What's the first thing you'd like to do when you leave the Mansion?
Hollie: To see my family and give Bruno, my boyfriend, a big kiss.
Darrien: I could stay here another month! I'd like to go out to a nice pub with my friends, sit down and just chat.
