Leaving The Floor
Mark and Jennifer talk about their time on the show.
Last Saturday our youngest couple, Mark and Jennifer, was voted off the competition. We caught up with them to ask about their experiences and their plans for the future.
Were you surprised at the result this week?
Jennifer: Not really because we didn't get very good scores again, and the judges didn't seem to like us and everyone else was brilliant as well.
Mark: In a way, yes. I just didn't think I'd be there another week
How did you think your routines went this week?
Jennifer: I think our routines went okay. I think everyone has suffered this week. I think it's been alright for me and Mark; we've really enjoyed it more than previous weeks. I was happy because Vanessa said we'd improved, and Ryan and Jennifer[the Lindyhop coaches] said we'd done really well as well.
Mark: I think they went really well. A lot better than the judges comments suggested, but you just keep going.
Is there anything the judges said that you'll take forward with you?
Jennifer: Despite all the criticisms, I still respect them. I will use all their criticisms to improve my dancing. Wayne has always supported us and it was nice to have someone like that supporting us.
Mark: Like all of the comments I received in the competition, I'm going to really take them on board and I have done so that it will make me a better dancer.
What will you miss about the Dance Mansion?
Jennifer: I will miss Mark and the other guys the most. Like when I'm at home and I'm really bored I'll want to see everyone. It was just the chance of a lifetime.
Mark: The people. All the other dancers they are all amazing and that's going to be the hardest thing
What won't you miss?
Jennifer: The loss of sleep. We never slept because we were so stressed and it would always be a late night and an early morning.
Mark: The camera. It's nice to have my privacy back.
What was the most important thing you learnt there?
Mark: to be mature and to take everything on the chin.
Who do you tip to win?
Jennifer: I really don't know. So far there's just been [so many] shocks. All of them deserve to win. I haven't got a favourite. I want them all to do really well.
Mark: I want JP and Stacey to win.
Will you continue to dance with each other?
Jennifer: Yeah. It's going to be hard because Mark lives in Ireland. We're still going to keep in contact and we'll try and dance with each other as much as we can.
Mark: Hopefully. I'm into musical theatre. I want to go and professionally train and I don't know if Jenni does.
What do you plan to do next?
Jennifer: I'll take my A levels and see what happens, really.
Mark: I've got a singing diploma to get ready for in four weeks. I'm going to set up some dance classes until September, and then I'm going to finish off at University and then go and train professionally, hopefully in London.
What would be your dream job?
Jennifer: I'd like any opportunity to dance. Theatre work or backing dancing for someone cool like Justin Timberlake.
Mark: I would like to work on Chicago or Grease
What have you done since leaving the competition?
Jennifer: I've travelled back and watched a bit of Friends and slept. Normal stuff and caught up with my friends and family.
Mark: I've signed autographs and photos, done interviews and have been drowning my sorrows.

It was time for Mark and Jenny to go - they just aren't the same standard as the others (barring JP & Stacey of course). Ben and Steph should not have been in the bottom 2 but I guess that's what you get when the public vote makes up half of the score. I hope Darrien and Hollie win - they're fab!!

I think Mark and Jennifer's time to go had finally come, they are very good dancers but not up to the same standard as the others. Although having said that JP and Stacey should have left the competition ages ago. Ben and Stephanie were my favourites to win but after seeing Ben's comments before the dance this week have put me of him speaking to Stephanie like he did. Daren and Lana to win
Deirdre
You were robbed. JP and Stacey should have went.

Hi there,
am I alone in wondering how the future of the eliminated contestants pans out.
It would make a great show and I would love to know that they are all still dancing and doing well.

Despite their best efforts, it was time for Mark and Jennifer to leave. They are young and their lack of life experience was apparent in some of their routines.

Why has JP and Stacey not gone yet, they are not up to the other standards. Ben and Stephanie should not have been in the bottom two what are the Public thinking about.

Bless Mark And Jennifer! Theyre both amazing dancers. They did get the lowest judge vote, so maybe it was meant to be? xxx
