Leading Man
A familiar face is teaching the American Smooth.
The American Smooth Master Class was taken by no other than Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Anton Du Beke. Initially everyone seemed to enjoy the class and his OTT ways, however all the couples struggled a little bit, including JP and Stacey.
Despite accidentally elbowing him in the face, Stacey impressed Anton, especially in the way she tried to help JP.
"Stacey doesn't nag him, she is giving him time, being nice to him. She's like a pro leading an amateur."
Anton also had plenty of advice for the pair. "You need to put on a show and not worry about the judges, but that's inevitible," he said.
Like the judges, Anton acknowledged that the pair's main problem is that JP is not yet a leading man.
"You've been struggling with leading. The man needs to work on choreography and lead."
"It's all about body weight, you go from foot to foot. That's the key to leading well.ú
"It's your weight in motion, like a river flowing. You guide it."

As much as I luuurrrvvve JP (total gorgeous!) I have to say that as a couple JP and Stacey just aren't up to the same standard as the other contestants. I think that it was absoloutly absurd that Paul and Pam were voted off against you after their AMAZING performance! I'm really sorry guys, but its really time for you to go.

It's time the judges realised that there is more to being a dancer than being thrown six feet into the air, being able to have your legs around your ears, smiling like a scared cat and being as thin as a twig. Dancing is also soul, passion, sensitivity and musicality. JP and Stacey, you've got what it takes. Keep up the good work. From an over 35 dancer with tight hamstrings and a few womanly lumps and bumps (in the right places)

If you are able to knock one of the favourites out (Pam & Paul), then you have all the chance in the world to get into that final..and face even for thoses who do get knocked out. talent spotters will all ready have noticed the skill and talents you wonderful people have anyway and i am sure dance jobs will come your way regardless. I can see why JP and Stacey are being kept in by the audience as they are a loveable couple but I think its time people looked at the standard of dancing. They have a certain style that they are good at but I think its time they stepped aside for the likes of Darrien and Hollie who are awesome all round dancers. Good luck everyone!!

Loved your American Smooth! Well done and keep it up. Listen to the judges, take on board their comments, but don't get too upset if they are not as tactful as you would like. Listen to them but believe in yourselves and you'll only get better!

At the end of the day the show is all about what the public want. Arlene could go to any Proffesional dance school and pick up a pair of excellent dancers anytime she wants. That is not what it is all about. I think JP and Stacey show us what two ordinary people can really do if they set their mind to it. Good on them and I hope they go all the way.
