Strictly

Vincent joined Strictly Come Dancing in Series 4 and was partnered with actress Louisa Lytton. They reached the quarter final.

In 2008, Vincent was paired with Rachel Stevens – this was Vincent’s most successful series and together they reached the final, only to be beaten by Tom Chambers and Camilla Dallerup.

Last year Vincent teamed up with Felicity Kendal OBE.

He commented that he leant a lot from the actress: “I know how to act now, I know props, I never used props before.” The two bowed out of the competition during the live Blackpool show.

Background

Vincent was born in Southern Italy, in a town called Foggia. He lived there with his mother Anna, father Gaspare and his younger sister Alessandra.

All of Vincent's family are dancers and so his career is something that he says was bound to happen as “dancing is such a massive part of Italian life''. He began teaching at the age of 12.

At 16, Vincent became the Italian Youth Champion. This was the turning point for him, as he realised that his level was too high to stay competing just in Southern Italy.

Vincent was 17 when he met Flavia - they were having dance lessons in Guildford at the same school when it was suggested that they try out together.

Vincent and Flavia have been extremely successful on the competition circuit. They have an impressive list of titles between them, both at an amateur and professional level.

He has said that his favourite dance depends on “the mood, the venue and the music”

Trivia

Vincent's passion is his motorbike. He has taken his licence so he can ride a more powerful bike. He currently has a large motorbike which is black, chrome and leather with a 1.3 engine and he loves it. Earlier this year, he purchased a section of a race track at Brooklands Motor Museum.

He also loves to do “normal” things, and he has said that if he wasn’t a dancer he would be involved with computers in some way.

Vincent is also a proud parent of his baby son Luca, "day by day he looks more like me, which is very promising, and I am so proud of him for this."
