The 25m MK II Radio telescope at Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire is often used as part of the MERLIN array for high resolution imaging of radio sources

MERLIN stands for Multi-Element Radio Linked Interferometer Network. It's an array of radio telescopes distributed around Great Britain, with separations of up to 217km.
