Title: Don't Knock My City
People in Stoke-on-Trent are all too willing to run it down, says Phil. It's true that some of the traditional industries are dying, but with imagination and enthusiasm it could be a great place to live and work.

Talking Point
Do you think that Stoke is a 'sick city', or, like Phil, do you think that the area could be compared favourably to cities like Bristol, Manchester and Sheffield?

Would positive action from the people of Stoke really make a difference to the city? Have your say...

Looking back at the history of Stoke and what it used to like you realise how its gone so down trodden. Just look at the buildings knocked down in the 1960's which had character and would give the area something to be proud of if still there today

I've lived in Stoke on Trent all my life and most of my holidays have been spent in various areas of the UK.Most recent holiday was last month was in the south east - everywhere seems to have some areas equally dirty and neglected as some areas here, and we have many places around us and locally as beautiful and interesting as anywhere in the UK. the only thing missing is the sea!
