Well, you couldn't get theatre in a more charming place. The Ridware
is a small converted chapel, sitting on its own in the midst of fields
in the local countryside near to the village of Pipe Ridware.
Alan Williams runs and organises it with friends as a labour of love;
though some of the companies that turn up are of extremely good quality,
so this is totally an unexpected treat.
The chapel probably holds no more than sixty - so booking ahead is
a really good idea.
And it's a nightmare to find, so ensure you give yourself plenty of
time to get there; or get full directions!

marvellous
I've just been to the Ridawre for the first time, and
it's a marvellous little place. the people there were a little older
but their enthusiasm for this theatre was quite admirable.
The setting for the company on "stage" amid the pillars
of the old altar area was really very effective.
