Have your say
The song and dance musical Tell Me On A Sunday will soon be entertaining Staffordshire audiences. Rather ironically, not on a Sunday!

This one-woman tour de force sees its original star, Marti Webb, reprising her award-winning role.

The musical was originally written in 1979 especially for Marti by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black as a television special.

Number Ones
The subsequent album and the single Take That Look Off Your Face both reached number one in the UK charts.

Off the back of this, a stage production opened in London in 1982 and the musical soon went on to Broadway.

An English woman in New York
Tell Me On A Sunday is the story of one woman's quest to make it in America.

It charts the course of an optimistic English woman named Emma as she arrives in New York seeking love and success.

Brimming with confidence, she feels it's only a matter of time before she makes it big!

Harsh reality
However, after a series of heartaches and disappointments, harsh reality sets in that maybe she's been looking for love and acceptance in all the wrong places...

The story features the classic song Take That Look Off Your Face - one of the best known tunes from a modern musical.

Live orchestra
Performed with a live orchestra, it features other Webber tunes such as Unexpected Song,Tell Me on a Sunday plus five new songs for this new production.

Tell Me On A Sunday runs from Monday 19th to Saturday 24th July 2004.
