Tolkien house for sale A Staffordshire house which was home to Lord
of the Rings author JRR Tolkien is set to be auctioned off next month. Tolkien
lived in on the Teddesley Park Estate, near Penkridge, just before the First World
War. The

coming People living in rural areas of Staffordshire are soon to benefit from
five million pounds of government money, to provide them with better access to
the world wide web. The
latest initiative by Advantage West Midlands should ensure everyone in Staffordshire
has access to high speed internet broadband in the next 2 to 3 years.
Save the Prince Stars of the stage and screen, Drag
queen Danny La Rue and veteran comedian Ken Dodd, have
made personal pleas to councillors thinking about axing Cannock's Prince Of Wales
Centre. The council is considering axing the theatre to save £323,000 a
year. Last Monday members of Cannock Chase District Council's Culture and Sport
select committee voted unanimously to keep the theatre open. But the theatre is
not safe yet as the proposals have to go in front of the cabinet and finally the
