Next row ( eyelet row) Knit 2 wfwd Knit 2 together, repeat until the end
of the row
Next row Rib knit 2 purl 2 to end (48sts)
Rib 4 more rows, then cast off loosely.
To make ties,
Use a No 6 Crochet hook. Matching wool, or contrast, use two strands together
. Make a chain of required length to thread through eyelet holes. Stitch
off at ends. These make a good fasten as ribbon is inclined to undo easily.
Sew socks
up on wrong side, turn and flatten seam between hands. Insert ties.
