The party was the idea of Ros Chimes, the BBC reporter, who wanted to mount a final thank-you and shindig to celebrate the project she'd started and which others were about to continue.

It turned out to be quite a day.

BBC Radio Stoke's Janine Machin presented her show live from the Learning Centre as Ros Chimes was hosting. a Polish party.
There was singing, traditional Polish food and a pretty potent liqueur...

The whole event was caught on both stills camera and video. Bend an ear, or cock an eye to get the flavour of the day....
